Our Week

We LOVE the weekend!!!  We have always said that Hank loves his Saturdays.  He wakes up happy and wagging his tail, and somehow knows it is a Saturday.  I think Porter is going to love Saturdays too.  And he is 3 weeks old today!  We got to sleep in (especially me, who went back to bed and slept til 11 after I fed Porter this morning), and then we hung around the house all together.  Then, we loaded Porter up and went to Franklin to look at furniture at PD's...unsuccessful attempt in our search for a dining room buffet or kitchen table.  It was so nice to get out of the house!!!  Here is what else our week entailed...in chronological order:

1. I ran a fever and felt miserable. Just a little mommyish problem, nothing Porter could catch.

2. Porter developed extreme fussiness from 5pm-midnight, and then had a couple of almost sleepless nights.

3. #1 and #2 coincided, which equals misery.

4.  All of the above resolved at the same time, which makes for a much happier family.  Plus, good weather and sunshine!!!

5. Hank and Porter went on their first (of many) walks together!!!  We went on days when it was warm with sunshine, and it was so nice!  I wasn't going to take Hank on the first day, because I was nervous about how he would do walking with a stroller.  But then, he saw me putting on my sweat pants and running shoes, and he got so excited, I couldn't bear to leave him at home.  So we set out, and he did so good!  He walked right beside the stroller. (Always on the left, because he has to walk to the left of everyone, as he always has.  He is a creature of habit.)  I think he was so proud to be walking with his baby.  But looking at the pictures below, I wouldn't call that face proud:

Looks more like humiliation to me, but at least he had fun and got some exercise.  He put on some weight this winter with a decrease in his exercise.  I think he just felt bad for me gaining weight with being pregnant.

6. Porter wore the cutest hat ever, thanks to my fabulous co-worker Sarah!  Brace yourselves for this cuteness:

7. Car ride to Sonic one night just to get out.  We had no food, and REALLY needed to get out of the house that day.  It was a LOOOONG day, to say the least.  Porter quit crying, and I was a happy girl.

8. Porter had his 2 week check-up at the pediatrician, and he is pretty much perfect!
