This sweet boy turned 6 months today. Oh my. In honor of the occasion, we started baby food! I'm going to make his baby food, so Porter and I went to pick out a good first vegetable yesterday. Really, we needed a few groceries, and I had no choice but to haul Porter with me. He's not quite ready to sit in the front of the shopping cart yet, so I'm still forced to carry that big infant carrier in the store. We came home with a sweet potato. So tonight for dinner, Jonathan and I had baked sweet potatoes with our meal, and Porter also had a sweet potato. It was kind of funny to put 3 in the oven...one for each of us. Of course, Porter's potato will also provide at least 10 other meals. He LOVED it! He sat in his high chair at the dinner table and ate with us like a big boy.
Here's what Porter is up to now that he is 6 months old:
Sitting up with some assistance
"Talking" to himself constantly
Mastered laughing (greatest sound I know)
Rolling all over, not just staying on his blanket anymore...means more vacuuming for me
Loving cereal (and now sweet potatoes)
Still sleeping 10-12 hours every night, with two 2-hour naps each day
Hank is his favorite thing...Porter watchs/smiles/laughs at him allllll day
Size 3 diapers
Smiles huge as soon as we walk in his room when he wakes up
Loves to be outside
Loves to swing
NEVER cries
Loves his books
Pats his hands a lot

Awww, I can NOT believe that he is 6 months old! That can not be possible! Great pictures mama! You'll have to teach me a thing or two! It was good running into you tonight! Love you!
