7 Months!

Warning: this post is full of Porter pictures.

Our little Port Port is 7 months today!  He started it off right when he woke up at 11:55pm last night screaming in pain from tooth #2.  I think he just wanted to start his 7 month birthday with me cuddling him.  But after some Tylenol and consoling, he went back to sleep and woke up this morning as good as new.  Here are his sweet 7 month pictures.  The outfit was Porter's Uncle Brian's outfit.  I may have waited too late for him to wear it, since when I put it on today, he had trouble moving his legs.  We quickly ditched the outfit...
Getting geared up

Now he's really getting excited

And this is how the rest of the pictures went: moving, squealing, and flailing his arms and legs wildly.  I'm surprised I got another picture of him sitting still.

"Hey Mom!"

And now he begins his escape.  He is a quick, sneaky little thing.

Rolled over, slid off...

Then on the ground and rolling away...

As I said, sneaky.  Well, maybe ACTIVE is the better word.  He never stops moving.  He also proved this today when I put him in the center of the bed sitting up, turned around to get a shirt, then turned back around and he was on the EDGE of the bed with an arm hanging over.  My heart stopped.  No more sitting on the bed.

Here is what he is up to at 7 months:
  • Sitting up on his own
  • Goes from sitting to laying on his belly, then pulls his knees up and scoots a little.  And then today he started rocking on his knees and elbows.  Here we come mobility and baby-proofing.
  • Tooth #2 cut today (FINALLY)!  He already has the bottom right, and now the bottom left.
  • Eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables.  He loves all fruits and yellow/orange veges, but hates all green veges.  To the point of gagging.  All of them.  So I sneak them in.  Occasionally he still detects them and gags.
  • Now eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner with baby food...and loves it!
  • Has a new snack called a Mum-Mum.  These are banana flavored rice "rusks."  Sounds really weird.  But he loves them and it is basically just a teething biscuit.

Mum-Mum
  • Moved up to Nursery 2 at church (more on that in a minute).
  • Still sportin' his size 3 diapers.
  • Loves bath time even more now that he is sitting up in the bath tub and playing with his little toys.
  • Still cooing and laughing away.  Still never cries.  And still such a sweet, happy boy.  We are so thankful.

So yesterday was his first real Sunday School class.  I stayed in there just so I could watch what they did, since it was his first time and all.  It was the best thing ever!  He LOVED LOVED LOVED it.  He focused on everything they said and showed him.  The pictures below explain it all...
He concentrated soooo hard on this little bunny.

And then this stuffed bunny cracked him up.

More concentrating with his buddies close by.

Focusing on the little duck in the water.

This ring was, apparently, hilarious.

Ok, I guess that is enough pictures of my little buddy.  He has just done so many cute things lately, I can't help but post them!

Lots of Love,
Beth
