This sweet boy is now 21 months old! A lot has happened since the last post, so I'll give you a brief update in the next couple of posts. Port Port has a few new tricks up his sleeve at 21 months:
1. Talking like a big kid. Not only does he repeat everything we say, but he comes up with all kinds of sentences himself. We never know what is going to come out of his mouth. When we were decorating a Christmas tree in his room the other day, he was showing me where to put ornaments. He said, "Put it right there. Thanks." I thought, are you 5 years old?!
2. Eating a little bit better! He tries a lot more foods, and even eats a few vegetables now. We're making progress! His favorite foods right now include: black beans, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, chips, pizza, yogurt, and sausage.
3. Hank is still his best friend. If Hank is outside, he tells me, "Hankie boy is whining." They get along great together, still (thankfully).
4. LOVES his little class at church. When we pull up to church, he starts saying, "Class!" When we get inside, he marches right into the classroom and starts playing or goes to sit in his seat, ready to start.
5. Is still SUPER busy. He has two modes: asleep and running. But when he sleeps, he sleeps good, so I have no complaints.
6. His favorite thing to do is play outside. Second favorite thing is reading books.
7. He has super attention to detail. He notices EVERYTHING. He really had no choice though, because Jonathan and I are both that way.
8. Loves to clean. All he needs at home is a paper towel, and he can be found wiping down everything. At church, there is a little vacuum cleaner in his class, and that's his favorite toy. Jonathan isn't very proud of this fact, especially since the vacuum is Barbie.
9. Now knows all his letters and shapes, and can count to 10. He cracks me up with his shapes, because he even knows the weird ones like pentagon and octagon. I blame this on his super attention to detail. I think he'll be a visual learner.
10. At night, he likes to say his prayers before bed and sing some songs. When we are finished with songs, he begs for more, mainly because he is not ready to get into bed. But it could be because my singing is soooo good. He usually still cries for a couple of minutes when he goes to bed, but that doesn't last long before he's sound asleep.
11. Now has all his teeth, with the exception of the 2-year molars. Thank goodness to be done with teeth!
That's all for now. I am feeling guilty, because month 20 went by and I never even took his picture in his chair. What a mom. I don't think he'll care though. He still loves me.
Lots of love,
Beth
